Elkhorn Physical Therapy is experienced with all types of musculoskeletal conditions.  We provide general physical therapy and rehabilitation to patients who require that type of treatment but have also developed specific treatment plans for more complex injuries.

Total Motion Release (TMR) is one of the techniques we use to ensure that patients heal quickly.  We do this by balancing the restrictions of the neuromusculoskeletal system throughout the whole body in a short period of time, getting our patient back to health faster.  For  more information check this link: www.totalmotionrelease.com

Elkhorn Physical Therapy specializes in Active Release Techniques link:  www.activerelease.com  , Postural Restoration and Primal Reflex Release Techniques (link:  www.theprrt.com)  to ensure that you have a healthy and quick recovery from physical injuries.

Rolly Kleeman and the other therapists at Elkhorn Physical Therapy use PRRT to down-regulate excess nerve input to muscles.  This enables the patient to heal quicker and realize underlying injuries.

Recreation & Sports Injuries

Most people and athletes recover after injuries.  Some require some level of physical therapy to heal correctly.  Elkhorn Physical Therapy can help athletes and people heal from injury more quickly and more safely than ever before.  We use many different advanced level techniques to help folks heal from surgery, sprains, muscle pulls, back pain and much more.  We have helped patients recover from pulled hamstrings, sprained ankles, surgical reconstruction like torn ACL or PCL knee injuries and even just general muscle strains.

Postural Deviations

Many adults demonstrate significant postural deviations that can contribute to musculoskeletal pain and disorders that can occur later in life.  Elkhorn Physical Therapy can evaluate a patient's posture then mobilize deviated segments and provide a specific stretching and strengthening program to help reduce pain and prevent further deterioration.  We can assist in minimizing the affects of the following conditions: excessive kyphosis, forward head, excessive lumbar lordosis, rounded shoulders, headaches as a result of poor posture, scoliosis and torticollis.

Traumatic Conditions

After an incident of trauma such as a motor vehicle accident, traumatic fractures, shoulder separations or other severe injury, many people need therapy to maximize function and prevent future complications.  Our goal is to decrease inflammation and swelling, eliminate scarring and promote soft muscle tissue healing.  We also help eliminate pain and restore strength, mobility and endurance.

General Orthopedic Disorders

Some of the patients Elkhorn Physical Therapy treats, suffer from a variety of musculoskeletal disorders that compromise their ability to perform daily activities.  Flexibility and strengthening utilizing modalities allow patients to regain the freedom to function in day to day activities.  Elkhorn Physical Therapy has helped patients with spinal dysfunction, arthritis, patello-femoral dysfunction and post-operative rehabilitation.

General Pediatric Disorders

Some children suffer from a variety of musculoskeletal disorders, which compromise their ability to function easily during daily activities.  We also help children to gain strength and flexibility so they have less pain and more mobility.  Some of the conditions we have treated at Elkhorn Physical Therapy include: JRA, Osgood-Schlatters, patello-femoral tracking problems and congenital hip displasia
